Two low intensity blasts near Agra Cantt railway station
After an ISIS threat of attack on Taj in Agra, two low intensity explosions have been reported near Agra Cantt railway station today.
According to reports, explosion took place near
Agra Cantt railway station when municipality staff was collecting garbage from a dumping site.
Few minutes later another explosion took place in a locality near the station.
No casualty or damage have been reported after the incidents.
A team of security officials and railways have been rushed to the spot. Police has cordoned off the Agra Cantt railway station and senior police officials have inspected the area.
“Two explosions were heard early today. The UP police has taken over and now forensic investigations are being done to determine the cause,” Divisional Railway Manager Prabhash Kumar said.
A threat letter has also been reportedly found near the station.
The blasts have come after reports of an attempt to derail the Andaman Express yesterday.
Andaman Express reportedly crashed into a huge boulder on the tracks last night near another station 20 km away and police recovered a note at the site threatening of terror attacks.
A major mishap was, however, averted as the alert train driver of Andaman Express saw a huge boulder on the tracks. The train crashed into the boulder but since the speed was low, it did not cause any major damage, police said.
